My Story...
Madison has been passionate about photography for many years, starting with her first real 35 mm film camera in 1978. Over the years, as film transitioned to digital technology, she continued to refine her skills in capturing breathtaking landscapes and wildlife moments. Life, however, threw her some curveballs, forcing her to take a long break from photography. The theft of all her equipment, a long coma, invasive cancer treatments, and her gender transition shifted her focus away from her craft. Once she overcame these challenges, her passion for making 'time stand still' reignited. Nothing captures those fleeting moments better than a photograph. 'There is so much happening all around us all the time, and to freeze that instant forever is powerful,' she says. Madison considers herself someone who 'captures photographs,' reacting to and observing the beauty of nature. 'I grab my gear, head out to adventurous places, see what happens, and try to capture what I see and feel.' She hopes that these little snippets in time and place can transport you, however briefly, to a different mindset.
